Lesson Progress:

In this, lesson you will learn how to create an invoice in Sprout Studio. 

Make sure you've done the prerequisites first:

To create an invoice: 

  1. Click the “Orders & Quotes” button on the left side. 
  2. Click the “Add New” button. 
  3. Click the “Add Order” button. 
  4. Add your Price List. 
  5. Add the Package
  6. Add the Products. 
  7. Click the “Payment Recieved” button to add payments that have already been received.    
  8. Click “Single Payment” to generate one invoice or click “Payment Schedule” to generate multiple invoices.  
  9. Choose your tax option 
  10. Select the contact for the invoice to be sent to. 
  11. Click the “Create” button to generate the invoice. 

To manually add a payment to an invoice: 

  1. Click the “Menu” button beside the invoice. 
  2. Click “Manage Payments.” 
  3. Click the “Pay” button. 
  4. Manually record the date and the payment amount. 

Variation

To add an order directly to a contact: 

  1. Click the “Contacts” button on the left. 
  2. Click the contact that you would like to add the order to. 
  3. Click the “+” button in the top right of the contact module. 
  4. Click “Add Order” to create a new order with that contact preselected as the billing contact. 

Variation

To directly add an order from a shoot: 

  1. Click the “Shoots” button on the left. 
  2. Click the shoot you would like to add the order for. 
  3. Click the “Orders & Quotes” button on the left. 
  4. Click the “Add New” button. 
  5. Click the “Order” button from the “Add New” drop-down menu.
